Ongoing Maintenance
As part of a workplace expansion, planting needed to integrate seamlessly within the existing office environment while supporting staff wellbeing and improving visual comfort. The design required greenery that softened open-plan areas, guided movement through the space and maintained clear circulation and light flow. Tropical Plant Rentals developed and delivered a workplace planting scheme aligned with government workplace standards and the operational needs of the environment.
Approximately 150 resilient plants were installed throughout the workplace within floor planters and integrated trough systems. Species including Zamioculcas, Sansevieria, Spathiphyllum, Dracaena and Aglaonema were selected for their durability in interior environments and ability to create a cohesive planting scheme. The planting provides subtle privacy between zones while supporting acoustic moderation. Existing client containers were repurposed within the design, supporting sustainability goals while maintaining consistency with the established workplace aesthetic.
Installation was staged within occupied areas of the workplace to minimise disruption to staff and daily operations. Access and protective measures were carefully coordinated to maintain finished surfaces and ensure accurate plant placement. Tropical Plant Rentals worked closely
with the government department to deliver a planting outcome aligned with the project requirements and workplace functionality.
The planting introduces visual calm and environmental comfort across the expanded workplace. Greenery connects arrival zones, reception areas and workspaces while maintaining openness within the office layout. A concentrated planting arrangement within the breakout area creates a calmer space where staff can step away from their desks, helping to support wellbeing and provide a more restorative environment.

Regular servicing focuses on plant care, monitoring growing conditions and maintaining the dense planting areas within breakout zones to ensure they remain healthy, balanced and visually consistent within the working environment.
