Frequently asked questions

Is the initial consultation and quotation free?

Yes. Tropical Plant Rentals provides a free, no-obligation consultation and quotation. We assess your space, environmental conditions, design requirements and budget before recommending a tailored plant hire solution.

Do you need to inspect our site before preparing a proposal?

A site inspection is recommended because it allows us to assess the layout, lighting, airflow, access and how the space is used. However, it is not always required.

If a site inspection is not practical, send us a floor plan or a photo of your workplace evacuation diagram, along with photos of the space and any relevant measurements, design plans or mood boards. For larger or more technically complex projects, a site inspection may be required before the proposal is finalised.

Can you work with our architect, designer, builder or facilities team?

Yes. We collaborate with clients and project teams to coordinate plant and planter selections, access, installation timing and ongoing maintenance requirements. This ensures the planting solution supports both the design intent and the practical requirements of the space.

Is standard installation included and how long does it take?

Standard delivery and installation of Tropical Plant Rentals hire displays are included in your plant hire service. Many office installations can be completed within a few hours, while larger or more complex projects may take longer or be completed in stages.

We confirm the installation plan and timing in advance to minimise disruption. Green walls and any project-specific work outside standard plant delivery and installation are quoted separately.

How often will our plants be maintained and what is included?

We create a maintenance schedule based on your plant selection, site conditions and service requirements. Regular visits include watering, fertilising, pruning, grooming, cleaning, pest and disease management and plant health monitoring. Service reporting can also be provided where required.

What happens if one of our plants underperforms?

Plant health is monitored during scheduled maintenance visits. If a plant is not performing to our service standards, we will assess it and, where required, relocate or replace it at no additional cost as part of your plant hire service.

Will we have a designated account manager?

Yes. You will have a designated account manager who understands your requirements and provides a consistent point of contact throughout consultation, design, installation and ongoing maintenance.
