Ongoing Maintenance
As a purpose-led organisation supporting critical healthcare initiatives, the Children’s Hospital Foundation required a workplace environment that reflected its values while enhancing staff wellbeing and daily experience. Tropical Plant Rentals developed a biophilic planting strategy aligned with WELL-informed workplace principles, introducing natural elements that soften the interior environment and reinforce a sense of calm within the office. The planting integrates within breakout areas, circulation spaces and work zones to create a more balanced and welcoming workplace.
Approximately thirty-two plant installations were introduced across the workplace including Kentia Palm, Bamboo Palm, Zamioculcas, Aglaonema, Happy Plant, Janet Craig and Ficus Elastica. Premium neutral-toned containers and architectural trough planters were carefully integrated throughout the office. Larger specimen palms anchor key areas while trough planters provide subtle spatial definition and visual softness across collaborative and workstation environments.
Installation was carefully coordinated alongside completed interior works to ensure minimal disruption to workplace operations. Plants were positioned to maximise visual impact, support circulation flow and
integrate seamlessly with furniture layouts and collaborative spaces.
The completed planting scheme enhances staff wellbeing and introduces a stronger connection to nature within the workplace. The environment feels calm, welcoming and aligned with the Foundation’s mission-driven culture.
A structured horticultural maintenance program delivered by specialist plant technicians ensures consistent plant health and long-term presentation across the workplace.
