Plant it forward

The koala & wildlife corridor project.

At Tropical Plant Rentals, sustainability goes beyond beautiful interiors.

Plant It Forward is our long-term commitment to restoring native habitat in regional New South Wales. Through the Koala Corridor Project in Gunnedah the Koala Capital of Australia we plant a native tree for every new Tropical Plant Rentals project, client or event. Working with Landcare and Waterways Wildlife Park this initiative has already helped restore thousands of native trees and eucalypts on former farmland rebuilding vital habitat for koalas and other Australian wildlife.

When you partner with Tropical Plant Rentals for indoor plant hire, office plants and event greenery your project contributes to the regeneration of Australian bushland and the protection of native species.

Growing a wildlife corridor in koala country

Since 2012, we have been restoring former farmland at Woodlawn into a thriving stretch of native bushland. Working in consultation with Landcare and Waterways Wildlife Park, this project focuses on rebuilding natural ecosystems that support native wildlife. This corridor helps reconnect fragmented bushland, restoring land that was previously cleared and creating a safe passage for wildlife. Long-term habitat restoration like this is essential for koala conservation in regional NSW and plays a role in rebuilding resilient native ecosystems for future generations.

Today, the corridor includes:

Over 10,000 native trees planted

Approximately 4 kilometres of connected habitat

Ongoing landcare to ensure
long-term survival

Thanks for thinking about the future for the next generation

As a family business with over 50 years of history, we think in generations. Planting native trees today means healthier ecosystems, stronger wildlife populations, and more resilient landscapes for tomorrow.

This isn’t just tree planting. It’s long-term habitat restoration, designed to grow with care and purpose. We’re incredibly proud to see wildlife returning to Woodlawn — and we’re grateful to every client who helps make this possible.

From all of us at Tropical Plant Rentals and from the future residents of the Koala Corridor — thank you for helping us give back to nature.
