What do you enjoy most about your indoor plant hire business?
I do love the flexibility I have with servicing my indoor plant hire clients. It allows me to fulfil my water polo training and commitments. I am always able to work in with my indoor plant rental clients to ensure their plant servicing requirements are always met.
I also enjoy all the different people that you meet in all types of jobs and industries. It is quite varied.
What’s your favourite desk plant to hire for offices and why?
The Zanzibar Gem is my favourite desk plant to use for office plant hire. It’s always shiny with a rich green foliage. It never seems to attract bugs and requires little watering. It’s the perfect office plant to hire.
What’s your favourite office floor plant to hire and why?
I really enjoy using the Monsteria Delicio for office plant hire. I love that it is a plant that is different to most. It has large shiny leaves. Visually it looks fantastic and makes a real impact.
What’s your best tip for keeping your indoor office plants looking their best?
To really listen to your plants. The plant will show you what it needs, if it is drooping it needs more water or if it is sunburnt, it needs to be relocated.
What other things do you do in your spare time?
I’m a full time amateur elite water polo player. My local club is the Brisbane Barracudas. I’ve represented both Queensland and Australia for water polo. Career highlights would have to be the Beijing 2008 Olympics, 2012 London Olympics and 2016 Rio Olympics. I’m hoping to be selected for the 2020 Australian Water Polo team for 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
I like to give back to the sport with coaching of teams for my local water polo club.
Currently my partner Michelle and I are awaiting the arrival of our first child, due in May 2019.
Other interests I enjoy are golf and surfing, I’m guessing with a new baby soon, I won’t be seeing as much of the golf course or beach that I am used to.
